Latin Titleholder: Sandro Finoglio

Sandro Finoglio joined Mr. Venezuela 1997 and won. He is 6 ft and 1 inches winner from Caracas Venezuela whose first assignment was to bring the Manhunt International crown from Singapore. He lost To Jason Erceg of New Zealand by a slim margin, making him the first runnerup. His first bid to win a crown did not dampen Sandro's spirit. In 1998, he went to Troia Portugal to try his luck again in Mr. World 1998. And indeed he was victorious ... the crown and the sash was in his hands and Venezuela was rejoicing!

Krisda Duangphung: A Thai Competing For Germany

Singapore's small venue was filled up to the rafters by eager and jostling fans craning their neck to get a glimpse of who's who on top on males of the cute variety.

Krisda Duangphung was one of this guy. He stands almost a towering 6 foot. He is a Thai who grew up in Europe, now representing Germany. And boy ... what a sight was he! The night however went to Brent Wilson of Australia while Krisda made the final rounds as finalist. In the same year, Krisda won also the right to represent Germany in Mr. Intercontinental which also gave him similar results . Danko Marojevic was Mr. Yogoslavia World 1998. He tried his luck and as a part of his commitment he joined Mr. World 1998. He was lucky to be included as one of the semi-finalists.

Nadir was sent to Grassim Mr. International 1999 and won. The pageant was held in New Delhi. Nadir was crowned by Mario Carbalho from Costa Rica who was Grassim Mr. International 1998.

Canada- bred Blue De Leon Bugayong ( born in the Philippines but grew up in Scarborough Canada) stormed the Ginoong Filipinas 1995 with his awesome face and sunshiny personality. Having just graduated from high school at that time, (others say he was too young and still have baby fats) Blue did just fine and hold his own candle when placed side by side some seasoned models in the group. Others believed he could have waited for the right time, maybe enrolled in a gym for a year, and he could have done more wonders.That's just water under the bridge now. Blue was one of the finalist before the night was over, and he did get a special citation, Ginoong May Pinakamagandang Mukha. Blue turned to Showbiz after his stint with GF. He modelled and was one of the most promising young stars in the ABSCBN stable then. He was casted in TV shows (Flames was one of them) and when one though his career is going great guns, he made an exit and went back to Canada. I was able to scan some internet notes about him lately, and I saw he was the founder of BOGG Inc. He claimed to be friends Vanessa del Bianco, Piolo Pascual and Mike Zerrudo (another GF candidate from Canada in 1995)

Bora Erdem is Mr. Turkey World 1998. He loves acting and modelling and he dance salsa and Argentine tango. Turkey sent him to Troia Portugal to compete at Mr. World 1998. The title went to Sandro Finoglio of Venezuela. In the same year he was also his country's representave to Mr. Intercontinental 1998 and was awarded Mr. Intercontinental 1998 First Runner Up. The title went to Shyan Chipman of Bahamas.

The stigma connected with a beautiful man is someone who is an Adonis with well-sculpted musculatures,regarded by some as a gigolo who play around with women. Some cynics regarded them as "all brawn but no brains," all bulging anatomy but a dismal airhead. Dante Balboa is a far from these caricaturish impressions. He is a college professor who teaches Languages, Literature and Philosophy something people , even his fans will not believe, since he was a part of the trashy titillitating movies in his time. Before all this, Dante was also a pageant wannabe having graduated valedictorian with the now defunct Mr. Young Philippines 1997. He then went to join Manhunt Philippines 1998 afterwards ,where he placed second to Sol Cruz. and Junell Custudio. These near-wins became his passport to Seiko films where he was transported to the world of forgettable sexflicks.His filmograhy includes: Temptasyon, Takaw Tingin, Karelasyon, and Kasiping.

Eduardo Miranda is Mr. Spain World 1998. He went to his neighbor Portugal and compete to win Mr. World crown 1998. He was one of the finalists.

Mideastern Titleholder: Ghassan El Mawla

Ghassa El Mawla is Mr. Lebanon World 1998. He was sent to Troia Portugal to compete. The pageant crown went to Venezuela Zandro Finoglio

Latin Titleholder: Jean Pierre Vismara

Jean Pierre Vismara was Mr. Peru World 1998. As a part of his prize he travelled to Portugal to represent Peru in Mr. World 1998 won by Venezuela's Zandro Finoglio. He is a model both ramp

and commercial model.

Latin Titleholder: Nadir Nery

Nadir Nery Djiukich won big as second runner up at Mr. Venezuela 1998 and was very happy for  companero Sandro Finoglio who wound up with the title. In 1999 he was Venezuela's big fish at Grasim Mr. International which was held in New Delhi India.  He was a standout and his winning the Grasim Mr. International 1999 title is comparable to Sandro Finoglio winning the Mr. World 1999.
