Ernesto Calzadilla won Mr. Venezuela 1998 and later he was sent to represent Venezuela in Manila to participate in Manhunt International 1999. I was able to rub elbows with him and thru photographer Edwin Tan I had his cap that shows Venezuelan flag. I still have the cap with me, because I kept it as souvenir. He won the contest allright, and aside from his physical attribute ... he was very friendly. We even talk long distance when he went back to Venezuela, and he even send me updates when he was working as a model in Singapore. Nice man indeed! Keep it up!

European Titleholder: Peter Eriksen

Peter Eriksen was 28 when he won Manhunt International 1998. He was 1.88 m. real estate agent in Stockholm and loves to do fishing, hunting, cooking and playing golf. His favorite sports are soccer and ice hockey.

The first Mr. Venezuela 1996 kicked off with the big bang, and promised to surpass if not level up the winning records of their female counterparts, nationally and internationally.

The first Mr. Venezuela title went to Jose Gregorio Faria and he will find himself placed in hot water when he will compete in the first ever Mr. World which will be held in Turkey.

The first runner up went to Johnny Essig, and the second runner up went to Eduardo Quintana, both first class models in Caracas. Jose Gregorio Faria brought home a brand new car, a prize which to some fits the new KING!
