Kenneth Paul Salva: Bubbly and Effervescent!

Photo # 1 (Thanks to Kenneth Paul Salva and his websites)Photo # 2Photo # 3Photo # 4Photo # 5Photo # 6Photo # 7Photo # 8Photo # 9Photo # 10 This is my second feature with Kenneth Paul de Salva. The first one was when he was freshly crowned Man of The Year 2010 last year (one of his last trophies ... added to his jampacked shelf which is getting crowded and crammed by the minute ... almost comparable to sardines in a tin can.)

I hardly knew the man then. And just like a typical pageant watcher, I wonder how the man look in person, how he handle himself, does he has sense of humor ... what does he like to eat, does he ever sweat ... questions like that. So when Dan called and I was told one of the guys coming was Kenneth Paul Salva ... rain or flood will never stop me from going.

From afar I already knew where Kenneth was ... basing from photos he had in the internet. He was seated in between the other models Ken and Joey. Gosh, he looked towering, I expected he was moreno, but it turmed out he also has a fair complexion (or was I blinded by the lights?) His hair was dark brown, and his eyes chinky, and what a smile he has. When he stand up ... one thing is obvious ... he has a butt to die for. Definitely Kenneth deserves all his awards and trophies basing from what I saw.

As a person, he is a bundle of punchlines and laughter, he is bubbly and effervescent, you could almost say he is still a boy trapped in a man's body (makulit with a childish coloring in it). He has a ready retort especially when Dan go with a rampage with his one-liners, his laughter booming reminiscent of Martin Nievera in his youthful "kakulitan".

Is he bent on starting a showbiz career? There was no response ... but what I heard is that his inclusion in a "hot guys group" is almost 95 percent sure! Good luck Kenneth Paul!

In an industry where faces come and go ... only a few make a lasting impact. I meet Dan Santos a week ago and I was browsing his new IPAD ... he generously open his archives of models that can make your eyes "pop" like the proverbial pop-corn heated in the pan. Out of the countless photos that will left you breathless, I pointed out three models that caught my attention.
One was Ken Allen who was featured two days back . By virtue of his beautiful face, luscious lips that pouts to get attention and his close up shots that shakes you up from a deep hypnotic trance, Ken easily made it to my list. Another model that created a visual commotion in my already blurry eyesight was Joey Orig ... another Davao model. He is 20 years old and stands 5 ft and 10 inches, who looks staid and reticent ... but despite his simple and laidback nature ... he is one from the many models ... that can easily be single out a standout. He has a flawless skin and he has a big mole near his Adam's apple that creates a drama all his own. The buzz was that he is testing showbiz waters via a boygroup that will be introduced soon.
Meanwhile ... Dan left hurriedly after a hearty dinner at Pho Hoa. And then the late night call came unexpectedly, as Dan by twist of nature, brought the three models in flesh and blood despite the heavy downpour. He brought the three models to life ... I never have felt so important. To some, a late night call would spell intrusive ... but this one is manna from heaven. Aside from rubbing elbows with the cute and the famous ... share a laugh or two ... it was an opportuned time for me to invite them to grace the pages of Man Central.
You may wonder who was the third model ... well you have to standby and see who is the third guy who will have his feature two days from now. See you next ish!

Ken Allen: New Kid On The Block!

Photo # 1 (Thanks to Ken Allen and His websites)Photo # 2Photo # 3Photo # 4Photo # 5Photo # 6Photo # 7Photo # 8Photo # 9Photo # 10Photo # 11It was raining cats and dogs when Dan Santos called me in the middle of the night and he said, "Are you free? Dan Santos with a frantic call, it must be important. It turned out he was just within the vicinity and tugging along are his friends whom he want me to see before I leave for US. I was a little lazy to go what with the late night drizzle that usually dampen anybody's spirit and put him to sleep instead. So with little hesitation, I dressed up and braved the rain that almost prevented me to go.

Wiping the little drops of water in my already wet head, I peered thru Jollibee's glass window and saw three hunky men with Dan as their host. I learned that they are sending off a friend in the airport. Gosh, I told myself, " Had I not been brave enough to wade the already murky Taft Avenue streets, I didn't have the chance to rub elbows with the cute and the handsome.... in this side of town!

One of this "cute and the handsome" is our featured model today. His name is Ken Allen, 19 years old who stands 5 ft and 9 inches and is taking Masscom at NDDU. He was quite at the start, but after the ice was broken, he can be reassuring too as he kept on reminding me, "Kuya ... magsalita ka naman. He joked a lot too, I almost die lauging when he commented something about their successful family business (I can't reveal what is it) but everytime the opportunity was there he said nonchalantly' "May pera na naman".

He loves to sing and dance, obviously, as he gave us a sample of his singing voice, unmindful of surprised looks of onlookers and kibitzers nearby ... full of bravado and pregnant with lots of vibrato and tremolo. He is a theater actor on the side and they have made successful shows in Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines. He joined Starstuck 5 recently and he consider the whole exercise as one big learning experience.

Pheeew! What a night ... and there's still a lot of things that can be said about it. Right now I am back with a cold winter winds of California, but my meeting with the guys ... the memories will definitely warm sad thoughts ... and lonely hearts! More of the guys next ish!
