RIP: Murillo Rezende

For the last two weeks Man Central was in a quandary after reading a news item written in Portuguese about Murilo Rezende and his alleged death. The initial reaction for Man Central and Murilo-believers was disbelief ... of course we don't want other blogs to beat us bringing the news... but we cautioned ourselves to keep the urge to write in its low decibels. We are talking about somebody's death here ... and Man Central being a responsible blog want to take it slow ... and sure.

Also ... Man Central was in its bargaining mood. We are still hoping, the news was a fluke and was just made up. We have been a Murilo supporter from the get-go. Lucas Malvacini was on top of Mr. Brazil totem pole ... he is untouchable ... but we really hoped Murillo could at least compete in Mr. International. I guess it was some cosmic design not to make him win. Imagine the sadness of his fans and his family if he won the right to compete in an international pageant and then weeks before the contest ... Mr. Death knocked on his door?

This will be Man Central's last feature of Murilo. This is a tribute to what he could attain ... and to what he could possibly gain in showbiz and modelling world. Although we could write more of him, but we want to give the guy a REST.

Let me end this feature by borrowing an epitaph from a Sam Milby-KC Concepcion movie which run something like this: ... "It is quite quick we fell in love with Murilo in one day ... now it take us forever to say goodbye ..."

Goodbye Murillo ... and may you REST IN PEACE!

How True Is The News That Murillo Rezende Was Assassinated?

I was reading a Portuguese blog and I read a news about Murillo Rezende being assassinated near his friend's apartment. I am not sure of this news yet ... but the news keep on using the word "assassinado". Of course I know what it means, and since the rest of the news item was in Portuguese, I kept on convincing myself "No ... this isn't true ...." to think that five days ago, I featured him again in this blog the nth time around.



Murillo Rezende was on the top of my list in the recently concluded Mr. Brazil 2011 along with Lucas Malvacini, and this news if it is true is quite devastating to his fans and believers. I am one of them. So if you heard about him ... or any news for that matter that confirm or contradict his assassination, you are welcome to SHOUT OUT! Thanks!

Murillo Resende:Another Mr. Brazil In Another Time!

I have nothing against Roraima or Distrito Federtal,both are deserving and are popular models in their own right especially Cesar Kurti who has spent his time in the Philippines modelling with other Brazilian mannequins ... of course we will be biased ... giving him our YES vote. But if Man Central will be given a chance for an able second to Lucas Malvacini, it will be Piaui . Golly, we can't just ignore the guy! In the same way we can't ignore Renan Oliviera Mr. Atol das Rocas.

Indeed there's just too many winners in this contest, and some were just wasted beauties, they can be winners had they selected another year for the contest . Pheeeeeew!

The next Mr. Brazil 2011 is almost a hair breath away having its schedule in the first week of May, but one candidate is really making a big splash and pageant watchers are taking notes. Murilo Rezende is Mr. Piaui 2011 and stands 1,83 m and will soon give the other competetors and pretenders to the throne a threat like no other.

As a trailer to the big event in May, Murilo Rezende has given us a preview on what to expect when he had several daring shots in Junior. Some big ripples were felt after browsing the photos, and it looks like the tsunami impact is increasing each day. Good Luck!
