Luis Nery, (complete name is Luis Antonio Nery Gomez) a tall and swarthy 22 years old, 6 feet and 3 inches and an industrial relation student is Mr. Venezuela 2000. He represented Peninsula Goajira and he wowed the audience with his slick retort about cheating women that drew a wild cheer from the female dominated audience. And for his price he won a jeep Cherokee to the envy of his compadres.He went to Manhunt International 2001 in Beijing but lost to Rajeev Singh of India a bitter competitor judging from the seasaw out comes of pageant results whether male or female that either goes India or Venezuela. He claimed he just do his best in whatever he do and it is a welcome challenge for him to be place side by side a worthy competitor like Rajeev.
